Acceptable Use Policy
ResumeAI exists to help job seekers. Use it for that. Don't use it to break laws, harm others, or abuse the service.
01The short version
- Use ResumeAI for genuine job applications.
- Don't submit content you don't own or have permission to use.
- Don't try to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Don't use ResumeAI to commit fraud or deceive employers.
- Be honest with hiring managers about AI assistance.
02Prohibited uses
You may not use ResumeAI to:
Fraud and misrepresentation
- Submit someone else's resume as your own
- Fabricate credentials, work experience, or qualifications
- Misrepresent identity to employers
- Create resumes for people without their consent
Illegal activity
- Violate any local, national, or international law
- Discriminate against any protected class
- Apply for jobs you're legally barred from
- Generate content that violates intellectual property rights
Harmful content
- Submit content containing personal data of others without consent
- Upload malicious files or attempt code injection
- Generate hateful, harassing, or abusive content
- Use the service to threaten or harm individuals or organizations
Commercial misuse
- Resell access to ResumeAI
- Use the service to run a competing business
- White-label or rebrand outputs as your own product
- Provide bulk resume processing as a paid service to third parties
03Service abuse
The following technical abuses are prohibited:
- Bypassing or attempting to bypass rate limits
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Creating multiple accounts to evade limits or bans
- Attempting to reverse-engineer the Service, AI prompts, or schemas
- Attempting to access other users' data
- Probing for vulnerabilities without authorization (use security@resumeai.blog for responsible disclosure)
- Denial-of-service attempts or excessive request volume
- Fraudulent chargebacks or payment manipulation
04Content guidelines
Content you submit (resumes, job descriptions) must:
- Be yours or content you have permission to use
- Not contain personal data of third parties without consent
- Not contain malware, links to malicious sites, or harmful payloads
- Not violate any law or third-party rights
We don't actively monitor content, but we may review specific submissions if abuse is reported.
05Reporting violations
If you believe someone is misusing ResumeAI, report it to abuse@resumeai.blog.
Include:
- Description of the violation
- Evidence if available (screenshots, URLs)
- Your contact info (for follow-up, kept confidential)
We investigate all good-faith reports.
06Enforcement
Violations may result in:
- Warning
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent account termination
- Loss of unused credits (no refund)
- Reporting to law enforcement (for serious violations)
- Legal action to recover damages
For serious or repeated violations, we may take immediate action without prior warning. We reserve the right to investigate and cooperate with law enforcement.
Appeals: if you believe enforcement was in error, email appeals@resumeai.blog within 14 days.
